Cashup Release August 2024

Gaming Reconciliation receives major overhaul, as user guidance streamlines Cashup experience.

Being hailed as one of our biggest Cashup releases to date, we will see a number of major User Interface changes introduced, improvements to the User Experience, as well as new reports, feature enhancements and a number of back-end infrastructure changes that not only improve performance, set us up for future releases. Enjoy!

Gaming File Upload

The first milestone in our effort to bring Gaming data integration to the Cashup feature set, is the provision to upload the Global (UTOPIA) Management Summary Report.

This feature affords operators a quick and accurate completion of key gaming inputs, by simply uploading their report to Cashup. The report is consumed, key metrics posted to Cashup, and the file is stored for future reference. Customers using Global Gaming Systems and Cashup should contact their Success Manager to enable this feature.

Gaming Interface Streamlined

Clear and consistent customer feedback provided good reason to re-design the user experiences surrounding Cashup gaming related tabs (i.e. Gaming, CCU, CRT).

We listened and have consolidated those tabs into one. The new interface brings all gaming related inputs onto a single screen. We’ve tightened up the required fields, changed terminology and brought the flow in line with how users logically complete their gaming reconciliation process.

An increased spotlight has now been brought to Gaming metrics including Actual NET and Metered NET profits, for the avoidance of gaming variances.

User Guidance

After a steady buildup of user adoption tools and techniques, we are deploying the next phase of user guidance. Cashup users will now be able to request a step-by-step walk through, on-demand and at their own pace.

By clicking a “Guide Me” button on each tab of Cashup, users will then be able to complete the reconciliation by following prompts with instructions and explainers.

This additional support function will decrease the demand on Quantaco team members, by reducing the need to deliver resource heavy, repetitive training.

Cash Transfer Limitations

The ability to manage cash movements around a venue is a core attribute of Cashup. With a rebuild of this function, we have limited the transferable locations to be contextual to the area of Cashup being reconciled.

Bankable amounts (cash counts) will still be automatically transferred to the relevant trade till, machine refills will be automatically transferred out of the relevant trade till, though users will now have a concise set of options to complete manual transfers. This limitation aims to ensure a more intuitive user experience and greater accuracy for journals.

New Bankable Report

Amongst the last major reports to round out our new Cashup reporting suite, is the bankable report. This report illustrates all cash movements within a date range, in-and-out of the bankable number.

User will gain a better understanding of the breakdown of transactions making reconciling the bankable number easier.

The report tells the story of inputs and outputs, be they POS cash counts, or ATM refills.

Cashup users can remain confident that they have a forensic understanding of the bankable amount, day by day.

Downloadable PDF Reports

The new Cashup operational reporting suite is now enhanced by downloadable PDF documents.

These richly formatted reports are easily emailed to colleagues or stakeholders, for a day at a time or over an easily selectable date range.

This enhancement provides the facility to share reports for information, or collaboration at offline management meetings.

POS Transaction Time Stamp

As we progressively roll out POS integration to customers, we are already enhancing the user experience. This release will introduce a visual key for POS integrated Cashups.

The date and time stamp for the last available POS sale will now appear next to the Update Button. This reinforces for users, that Cashup is either complete with all expected POS transactions, or another update may be required in order to pick up POS transactions traded late in service.

Fixes & Maintenance

Several back- end changes and fixes will also be deployed, including:

  • Journal changes
  • Integration logic updates
  • Restructure of Customer Configurator in advance of Salesline rebuild
