Cashup Release March 2024

An update to Cashup will be released on Thursday 22nd March including some enhancements to the application, user interface changes and minor bug fixes. This notification provides you with a summary of the changes you will see when you log in to the application.

Label name change for CRT Withdrawals

Based on frequent customer feedback, the label for the field concerning winnings paid out via the CRT, has been renamed from “CRT Withdrawals” to now be named “CRT Payouts”

This change aims to remove any ambiguity surrounding the required information to be entered into this field by users. i.e. Winnings paid out, as opposed to winnings and cash-to-cash transactions.

Variance Review Tab (Beta) - POS & Gaming Notifications

In an effort to provide greater transparency on variances and assist users with identifying and addressing these variances, we have introduced the Review Tab in early March 2024.

An addition to the Review Tab variances, is Notifications. The Notifications section delivers prompts for required user input and reminders to complete specific processes.

This feature is designed to assist users completing a Cashup with more accuracy and greater insights into where variances may exist.

Change to Process

We encourage users to inspect this tab throughout and at the end of their Cashup process and remediate variances where possible. The scope of the Beta program is POS & Gaming variances.

Variance types

  1. Variances marked at Cash Variances, highlight a variance between Expected Cash and Cash Counts. i.e. POS Cash Tender figure does not match your POS Cash Count
You will be directed to which area of Cashup this Cash Variance exists.
  2. Variances marked as Entry Variances, highlight a variance that exists between either Tenders & Classes not balancing, or Actual NET Profit & Metered NET Profit not balancing.

Commenting & Accepting

Comments and Accepting variances are encouraged, though not mandatory at this stage of the Beta program. They assist managers and financial accountants in tracing the reasons for variances and any further investigation that may be required.

Currently, comments and acceptance fields do not impact the Submit and Approve process

New Reports (Beta) - POS Classes & Tenders

Cashup operational reports are undergoing a major overhaul, which will introduce a new suite of reports progressively rolled out over the next few months.

Beginning with POS Classes and Tenders, the reports aim to provide users with a set of consolidated figures to assist with analysis of up to 60 days worth of Cashups and reconciliation of data between Cashup and external sources, i.e. Eftpos settlements, POS Z-reads, MAX Gaming reports etc.

The new reports introduce a dynamic configuration in line with a venue’s specific Classes and Tenders.

Basic charts are also available to visually highlight trends and anomalies.
