Cost Of Goods

Venues can now elect to add a daily Cost Of Goods (COG) % estimation to their Shift Report.

When a POS class has been added, venues can then choose to complete the estimated Cost of Goods value for the day, and Cashup will calculate the Cost of Goods % based on POS sales captured against that class, as part of their Shift Report data entry process.

Example

  • The Classes Food and Beverage have been added to my venue as a Shift Report as my chosen Cost of Goods classes.
  • on the POS tab for the day, my Beverage total across all terminals, sum to $1,000 (note this value will be inc. GST)
  • When completing my Shift Report, I have entered in a COG estimation of $750 (highlighted in yellow below)
  • The Cost of Goods % calculation will now automatically be displayed (highlighted in blue below)
  • I have not yet entered in an estimated COG for Food, as a result this will display a COG % of 0 until such a time I may enter in a value
