Lightyear Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA)

Troubleshooting MFA issues for your Lightyear account

MFA (Multi‑Factor Authentication) is a security feature that requires users to verify their identity using something in addition to their password (e.g., an authenticator app).

This guide explains how to update your MFA settings and what to do if you are locked out and unable to access your Lightyear account.

How to Update or Re‑Enable MFA in Lightyear

If you can log in to your account, you can update your MFA settings at any time.

Steps:

  1. Log in to your Lightyear account.
  2. Click your name in the top‑right corner.
  3. Select My Profile.
  4. Navigate to the Security section.
  5. Toggle Enable Two‑Factor Authentication (2FA/MFA) on or off as needed.
  6. Follow the prompts to set up or reset your authenticator app.

What to Do If You Cannot Log In (MFA Lockout)

If you are locked out because you cannot complete MFA, you will not be able to reset it yourself. You will need contact Lightyear Support to request an MFA reset.

Lightyear requires phone (voice) verification to deactivate your MFA for security purposes.

You can contact Lightyear Support via  support@lightyearap.com

Note that once deactivated it should be a priority to log back in and reactivate to maintain your accounts security.
