Wages Table
The Wages table provides a daily summary of wage costs as a percentage of total sales, helping venues assess labour efficiency against revenue performance.
Venues can access the daily Operational Wage Metrics table from 9am on the following trading day via the Shift Report tab.
This table displays fixed, flex, and total wage costs, and calculates the operational wage cost % based on POS sales recorded in Cashup for that day.
Example
The total revenue from all Classes across all POS terminals for the day is $16,591.31
The Time and Attendance system estimates the Fixed Wage cost at $4,767.97
To calculate the Fixed Wages (Estimate) Percentage:
($4,767.97 ÷ $16,591.31) × 100 = 28.74%
Cashup currently displays the Fixed Wages (Estimate) Percentage as 28.74%.

FAQs
- Is the amount base rate only? Do on-costs apply?
All figures reflect base rate only. No on-costs (e.g., super, payroll tax) are included. - How is overtime calculated?
Overtime is estimated based on timesheet data. For salaried employees, overtime is calculated using their equivalent hourly rate, but they are only paid additional overtime if formally approved. The system flags this as an estimate in the shift report to account for potential overtime surges. - If timesheets are submitted but not yet approved, does that affect the amount?
Yes, it’s included in the report. Any later changes (approval, edits) will update the estimated amount accordingly. - If a fixed (salaried) employee is on annual leave, is that included in the fixed wage estimate?
No, leave days are excluded from the fixed wage calculations.
