Once you have entered all daily takings, navigate to the Review tab to review and accept any notifications and variances. The tab surfaces two sections: Notifications (blank field alerts) and Variances (data entry and cash discrepancies).
All variance items must be ticked and accepted before approving the day. Comments are saved when an item is marked as accepted.
Notifications
Alerts appear in this section for any blank fields that may still require data entry.
- Tab — The relevant tab within Cashup where the blank field appears.
- Message — The specific field that has been left blank.
- Comments — You can add commentary if required.
- Accept — Tick the checkbox per line item to acknowledge that you have viewed and accepted the notification.
Variances
If identified, Cashup-calculated data entry and cash variances appear in this section.
- Tab — The relevant tab within Cashup where the variance appears.
- Location — The specific location within that tab where the variance appears.
- Entry Variance — Cashup has calculated a data entry variance. Check that all report data has been entered correctly.
- Cash Variance — Cashup has identified a variance between the expected cash amount and the actual cash amount entered. Any cash variances will post to the unders and overs general ledger account.
- Comments — You can add commentary if required.
- Accept — Tick the checkbox per line item to acknowledge that you have viewed and accepted the variance.
