Integration Mapping in Quantaco Modules

Understand what mapping is, how it works within Quantaco modules, and what to expect during the initial setup and when new items appear.

Terminology

Terminology Definition
Mapping The configuration rules that define how incoming data is displayed in Quantaco modules.
QCloud The central database that stores data from various systems.
Time & Attendance (T&A)  Time and Attendance systems such as Deputy, Tanda, or Employment Hero.
Point of Sale (POS)  Point of Sale system used to capture transactional data.

What is Mapping?

Mapping defines how data from external systems (like POS and T&A) is displayed in Quantaco apps, such as Salesline, Cashup & QInsights POS.

While QCloud stores data, mapping rules determine how that data is shown in other Quantaco apps. These rules ensure consistency across all Quantaco apps and alignment with your POS and T&A systems.

Common Mapping Examples:

  • Area Mapping
Data mapped to Areas may come from:

    • Deputy: Areas of Work

    • Tanda: Teams

    • Employment Hero: Locations

    • POS Terminals

  • Class Mapping:
Data mapped to Classes may come from:

    • T&A Systems: Areas of Work, Teams, or Locations

    • POS: Transaction Product Categories (e.g. Beer Kegs, Main Meals)

What is the Mapping Process?

When your Quantaco modules are first created, the following process takes place:

  • Submit POS Reports: The relevant POS reports will need to be provided.

  • Initial Mapping Setup: Quantaco configures initial mapping based on your POS data and existing T&A allocations.

  • Review Session: Quantaco will contact you to confirm any unclear or ambiguous items requiring input.

New Unmapped Items

Occasionally, unmapped items may appear in Salesline. These can be caused by:

  • New Areas of Work, Teams, or Locations added in your T&A system

  • New Terminals or Product Categories added in your POS system

When this occurs, Quantaco may reach out to confirm appropriate mapping for the new items.

Update Mapping when tills move/change

  • Connect and configure any new tills or terminals at the venue level to ensure they are transmitting data correctly to QCloud.
  • Send an email to support@quantaco.co including:

    • Till Name or Terminal ID

    • Assigned Area (e.g. Public Bar, Bistro, Cocktail Bar)

    • Whether the change is permanent or temporary

Why this matters: Prompt notification ensures correct mapping within Quantaco modules and other Quantaco apps, avoiding any loss of sales data or reporting inconsistencies.
