Salesline Data Mapping Process
What is Mapping?
- A process of configuring rules around how a venue would like their data displayed in Quantaco apps, such as Salesline.
- Data sources transmit data to Q-Cloud in a standardised format, the mapping process is the rules between Q-Cloud and Salesline.
- Mapping rules are consistent between Quantaco applications for consistency and aligned with POS systems for accuracy.
For example:
- Area Mapping
- The following data sources are mapped to Areas
- Time & Attendance Areas of Work (Deputy), Teams (Tanda) or Locations (Employment Hero) depending on the T&A system in use
- POS Terminals
- The following data sources are mapped to Areas
- Class Mapping
- The following data sources are mapped to Classes
- Time & Attendance Areas of Work (Deputy), Teams (Tanda) or Locations (Employment Hero) depending on the T&A system in use
- POS Transaction Product Categories (e.g., Beer Kegs, Main Meals etc.)
- The following data sources are mapped to Classes
What is the Mapping Process?
When Quantaco first creates your Salesline account, there will be a process to complete mapping. This involves:
- Emailing through POS Reports
- Quantaco will complete initial mapping based on POS Reports provided and the allocations already setup in your T&A system
- Quantaco will schedule time to confirm any mappable items that are unclear
New Unmapped Items
At times, new unmapped items will appear in Salesline, these may be caused by:
- Changes to the time and attendance system (such as new 'Areas of Work', 'Teams', or 'Locations'
- If there are new terminals or categories added to the POS system
