Star Compliance Custom Reports

StarCompliance enables organisations to digitise operational, safety and compliance processes. Custom Reports allow administrators to build their own report templates instead of relying on standard reports. These reports help businesses collect consistent information, improve accountability, reduce paperwork and maintain compliance across venues.

Q: Why use Custom Reports?
A:  Custom Reports help standardise reporting across all venues, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance.

A: Yes. Custom Reports provide digital records, eliminating the need for paper-based forms.

A: Reports can include photos, signatures, and other supporting information.

Q: Can managers be notified when a report is submitted?
A: Yes. Notifications can be sent automatically to managers or teams when reports are submitted.

A: Yes. They maintain an audit trail that can be used for compliance, investigations, and record keeping.

A: Custom Reports can be used for inspections, maintenance activities, incidents, audits, visitor logs, and many other operational processes.


  Please Note: Creating, Editing Custom Reports requires Venue Administrator access. If you require additional access please reach you to your administrator to provide you access. 

     Creating a report:

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Step 1: Open Reports

    1. Log in to StarCompliance.
    2. Open Reports from the navigation menu.
    3. Click Start Report.
    4. Select Custom Report Template.

    Step 2: Enter Report Details

    1. Enter a meaningful Report Name so users can easily identify the report.
    2. Optionally, select specific users or teams to receive notifications when the report is completed.

    Step 3: Build the Report

    1. Use the available fields to design your report template.
    2. Add headings to organise sections and improve readability.
    3. Include the fields relevant to your process, such as:
      • Text fields
      • Checklists
      • Photo uploads
      • Date and time fields
      • Location fields
      • Signature fields
      • Additional custom fields as required

    Step 4: Assign Venues

    1. Click Next.
    2. Choose whether the report should be available to:
      • All venues, or
      • Selected venues only
    3. Assigning venues ensures the template is only accessible to relevant locations.

    Step 5: Publish the Report

    1. Click Complete Report to publish the template.
    2. The report will become available to users at the selected venues and can be used immediately.

     

    Assigning a Custom Report to Users

    After creating a Custom Report, you must assign report permissions to users who require access. Users without the appropriate permissions will not be able to view or submit the report.

    Step 1: Open the Users Module

    1. Log in to StarCompliance.
    2. From the navigation menu, select Users.
    3. Locate the user who requires access to the custom report.
    4. Click the user's name to open their profile.

    Step 2: Edit the User

    1. On the user's profile page, click the Edit icon.
    2. The user's settings and permissions will be displayed.

    Step 3: Assign Report Permissions

    1. Select Allocate Report Permission.
    2. A list of available Incident Reports and Custom Reports will be displayed.
    3. Locate the custom report you want to assign.
    4. Tick the checkbox next to the report to grant access to the user.

    Step 4: Save Changes

    1. Click Save to apply the permission changes.
    2. The user will now be able to view and submit the selected custom report.
